Hello Art,  Another year has gone by and I know that it is hard for our children as they have been so good to me.  I know you are just as proud of them as I am.  They all miss you very much and many times their children will talk about Grandpa and some of the fun things that you had done with them all.  It is very heartwarming to hear your name come up often and I know you are hearing them in Heaven too.  I ask again that you watch over our children and grandchildren, as I know you already do, it is a comfort for me to know that you will always be there, and if there are times that we question "why" in our hearts we know that God knows what is best for all of us.  Help us to remember that we need to trust in God for he won't give us more than what we can handle.  We will celebrate Christmas again this year without you in our presence, but we know you are in our hearts all the time.  We love and miss you!  Please hug Kilian for all of us, especially big hugs for Jessie, Jim, Gracie, Tiernan and Delaney.  Please greet your parents and give my Mom and Dad a big hug from me too.  Merry Christmas to you all.  My Love To You Forever.... The story of the "fancy kiss"  / Jennifer Mullenmeister (Daughter In Law )

A few nights ago Ava and I were looking through our wedding photos.  She was asking who everyone was and what they were doing in the photos.  We came across one of you and Betty at the reception and you were bending her over for a kiss.  Ava asked why grandpa was smiling and what is he doing to grandma.  I explained to her that when daddy and I got married we played a game at our wedding.  If they wanted to see mommy and daddy kiss they had to come up in front of us and show us how to kiss.  "So" I told her, "grandpa Art is giving grandma Betty a "fancy" kiss".  I then showed her how it's done.  I bent her over and gave her a big smooch.  She giggled and said do it again mom ..... several times.  Now, when ever I do that with her she says "mom, is that a fancy kiss like grandpa did?"  Since then I've been thinking about all the fun moments that you have missed out on with us and I realized something.  You aren't missing out because you have the best seat in the house.  You can take a peak at any moment and see just what they are up to.  I bet those are glorious moments.  Thank you for watching over them and all of us.

Memories on Dahle Avenue  / Betty (Wife)
We drove out to our home on Dahle Avenue as I wanted to show Wally our "piece of heaven".  Lots of memories with fun and exciting followed me as we drove in the driveway.  Although tears whelled up inside coming down the hill.  I wanted to get out of the truck and walk around to check and see the changes and walk down by the river just to remind me of how it used to be and the trails that we had once walked on.  However, we did not stop but just turned around and drove back out.  It was a beautiful place and there are times I wished I was still there.  But, decisions are made and I am happy where I am living now.   I only wish we could have found that place ealier in our life together so the kids could have had the opportunity to enjoy it as much as we did only if it was for less than two years.  I know it left an everlasting "love" that we both felt and will always share together.  It makes me contemplate how beautiful heaven must be and could a part of Dahle Avenue be up there with you.  Love you always. We miss you so much dad.  It is so hard to believe you've been gone for 4 Christmas's now.  It was so painful loosing you and then not even being able to adjust to our first Christmas without you and have to go through more misery of loosing your grandchild on Christmas night.  Our hearts are very heavy every Christmas.  Please help us all through this, especially Jim and Jessie and the kids.  We love you.  Close

Hello Hon,  I'm missing you and am grateful that you are in Heaven with Kilian, Declan, Malachi, your parents and my parents.  Even though I have remarried please know that you were always my first love and that I cherish the 34 years that we had been married.  I will still carry your last name until I am here on earth no more, and look forward to being with all of you in heaven when He calls me.  Your children and grandchildren, brothers and sisters all miss you dearly and I know that you are watching over them everyday.  Send us the strength and courage we need to continue on earth with out you and all our loved ones there with you.  Merry Christmas to You!!!!   Love Always, Close

Memories / Betty (Wife)
Life is such a journey, we let our faith guide us along the paths.  For some reason we have been seperated from each other and now we both continue on.  However, memories are never taken away, they are to be shared and treasured.  You were such a huge part of my life, and I thank God for that.  Wherever life takes me I will go, but know that no one can ever take the memories that we shared together away.  They are locked away in my heart and one day when we meet again, all those wonderful treasures will again be shared together.  Please keep watch over us all here on earth and all those with you in heaven.  Until we meet again - my love to you always.   Betty Close
